Kitchens and bathrooms are where most of a home’s plumbing lives — and where most remodels run into it. Whether you’re installing a new sink, moving a toilet, adding a bathroom, or gutting a kitchen down to the studs, there’s plumbing behind it that has to be done right.
One call connects you with an independent plumber in your area who handles the plumbing side of kitchen and bathroom projects — new installations, remodel rough-ins, fixture and appliance hookups, and moving or adding lines.
We’re not a plumbing company and we don’t do the work ourselves. We connect you with independent contractors in our nationwide network, and they quote you directly. Calling is free, and you’re under no obligation. Just need an existing faucet or toilet repaired? That’s fixture repair.

WHAT IS REMODEL & ROUGH-IN PLUMBING?
If you’re planning a renovation, “rough-in” is a term you’ll hear. It’s the plumbing work done before the walls, floors, and finishes go in — running the supply lines, drains, and vents to where your new fixtures will sit. The “finish” plumbing, connecting the actual sink, toilet, or shower, comes later once the room is built out.
It matters because rough-in has to be right before anything gets closed up — a drain at the wrong height or a supply line in the wrong spot is expensive to fix once tile’s on the wall. It’s also where permits and inspections usually come in, since this work is inside the walls.
A plumber who does remodel work handles both stages: the rough-in during construction and the final hookups at the end. If you’re coordinating a bigger project, tell us where you are in it when you call, and we’ll connect you with someone who fits that stage.
WHAT KITCHEN & BATHROOM PLUMBING COSTS
These cover the plumbing portion of a project — not tile, cabinets, or the full remodel. Cost depends on how much is being installed, whether lines are being moved, and what your area requires for permits. Broad national ranges to give you a rough idea — your contractor quotes you directly, and we don’t set or influence that price.
| Job | Typical range |
|---|---|
| Sink & faucet installation | $150 – $500 |
| Dishwasher or disposal hookup | $150 – $500 |
| Toilet installation | $150 – $400 |
| Shower or tub installation (plumbing) | $1,000 – $4,000 |
| Moving / adding a fixture line | $500 – $2,500+ |
| Full bathroom rough-in (plumbing) | $1,500 – $5,000+ |
Ranges are general estimates only and are not quotes, and cover plumbing labor rather than fixtures, materials, or the wider remodel. Actual pricing depends on your location, the scope, permits, and the contractor you choose.

BATHROOM & KITCHEN PLUMBING QUESTIONS
What’s the difference between this and fixture repair?
This page is for installing new fixtures and for remodel and project plumbing — new sinks, showers, moving lines, rough-ins. If you just need an existing faucet or toilet repaired, that’s our fixture repair page. When in doubt, call and describe it and we’ll point you the right way.
Do you do full kitchen or bathroom remodels?
The network handles the plumbing side — installations, rough-ins, and hookups. General contracting, tiling, cabinetry, and electrical are separate trades. If you’re running a bigger remodel, we connect you with the plumber for the plumbing portion of it.
Do I need a permit for remodel plumbing?
Often, yes — especially when lines are being moved or added, or walls are open. A qualified plumber handles the permitting and inspection as part of the job. It’s worth confirming that’s included when you get your quote.
Can you move my sink or toilet to a new spot?
Yes — relocating fixtures is common project work, though it’s more involved than a straight swap since new supply and drain lines have to be run. A plumber can tell you what’s feasible in your space and what it’ll take.
What does it cost to call you?
Nothing. Calling us is free and there’s no obligation. The plumber quotes you directly, and you decide whether to go ahead. We’re paid by contractors for referrals, never by you.
Do you do the work yourselves?
No. We’re a referral service. All work is performed by independent third-party contractors who are responsible for their own licensing and insurance. We recommend verifying a contractor’s credentials before authorizing work — most states have a free online license lookup.
